Crumbs: Polluted type
This University project is a response to typography in Urban landscapes. Through researching my surrounding environment in Sydney’s inner west, I became interested in the dense typographic langugage on Parramatta road, informing the creation of my magazine.
Crumbs showcases pockets of Sydney’s inner west, each which are ‘crumbs’ making up the overall city. This issue, ‘Polluted type’, is an typographical exploration of Parramatta road, showcasing the chaotic landscape of one of the Innerwests most iconic locations. The issue portrays the accidents, allusions, and vacant signage that intersect at this site; a place where individuals merely travel through, but never stop to observe.
